Jon Sundt

A former financial executive, Jon Sundt founded Natural High in 1994 following the death of his second brother to addiction. As the nonprofit organization’s chief visionary officer, Jon Sundt continues to inspire youth to avoid drugs and alcohol by focusing on and pursuing their passions. One of the ways in which he achieves this goal is by partnering with celebrity role models who share their personal success stories.

One of the celebrity role models affiliated with Natural High is Mike Conley Jr., a 30-year-old NBA player with the Memphis Grizzlies. Like judo athlete Dartanyon Crockett and Grammy Award-winning band Switch Foot, Mike Conley Jr. delivers a message on the importance of peer influence in finding and maintaining your natural high. In the film Natural High 4, he speaks about how he finally built up the courage to tell his peers he didn’t want anything to do with drugs and how drug addiction affected one of his close friends.

Because he opted not to get involved with drugs and alcohol, Mike Conley Jr. is now a veteran of 11 NBA seasons who has consistently averaged more than 10 points and four assists annually. He averaged a career-best 20.5 points per game in 2016-17, but is best known for his defensive capabilities; he was named to the NBA All-Defensive Team in 2013.
